Veterinary Medications

We offer a wide variety of compounded medications for veterinarians (for office use) as well as pet owners. The same strict compliance guidelines established by the USP for compounding preparations for human patients also apply to medications we compound for animals.

Pets get sick just like humans, and to medicate a pet can be difficult at times. A pet may not want to take a pill, but a compounding pharmacy has the ability to formulate that same pill (with a veterinarian’s prescription) into a compounded flavored chew or liquid that tastes good to your pet. Some examples are chicken or beef flavor for dogs. Medications are custom made based on the weight and characteristics of the animal. Common veterinary medications are:

  • Methimazole
  • Potassium Bromide
  • Metronidazole
  • Doxycycline
  • Cisapride

Compounding preparations include:

  • Topical creams and gels
  • Oral liquids and chews
  • Injectables
